Surrender?

I have recently been blasted because of some of my political beliefs. And some of the things that have been said have not been very nice. I have been told that my BLOG is full of drivel, and mis-information, and that I am a fear-monger. I have also been called hypocritical and illogical. I have also been accused of belonging to the Church of Glenn Beck, and told I eat children. (Well, not the last part, YET.)

What I find interesting, is that I am told that I don't look or believe in the facts, and that I am driven by Fear and that logic has escaped me because of this fear. But when I ask for facts that prove the contrary, I am either ignored, or scorned.

My favorite one that I have heard is that I don't like Obama, because I am white and he is black. So because I don't fall into step, I am either a bigot or a racist.

COLOR OF SKIN HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. I don't like Obama because of his very liberal and progressive stances. I feel he is pushing us to wards socialism (you can pick your flavor of socialism). It has nothing to do with the fact that he is a black man. In fact, I am proud of the fact that we have put race aside and have moved from a country that had slave owners to a country that has elected a black man to the most powerful position in the World.

I have thought about throwing in the towel, and giving up on voicing my political opinions, but I don't think I am going to do that. I am going to continue to voice how I feel and where I feel the country needs to go. I guess you could say I am exercising my First Amendment Right to freedom of speech. I am going to ease off for a while on the political stuff, but will not stop it entirely. I still feel very strongly that our country is moving away from traditional values, and moving to wards the same liberal stances that destroyed ancient civilizations and governments in the past.

I do have one fear, and here it is. My fear is this. I am afraid that because the political pendulum is swinging so far left, to wards tyranny and power, that it will have to swing very far to the right, to wards revolution and anarchy, before it will come close to resting in the middle. The political scale is not about Democrats and Republicans, it is about ultimate power and tyranny on the left and no government and anarchy on the right. The middle is where it needs to be. The middle is where the constitution fights to put it. But because the constitution is being ignored, we have moved to wards a VERY powerful government, and are removing power from the people. We are removing GOD from our laws, we are removing the fact that our rights were given to us by a CREATOR, and not by man. And by removing GOD, we are making men our rulers, and allowing them to decide what rights we should and should not have.

I think we need to remember the Declaration of Independence, and its famous line:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..

Once we remove the unalienable Rights of the Creator; Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness from our government, and remove the consent of the governed, then we are no longer a free people.

Archispirostreptus gigas babies

Archispirostreptus gigas babies are now getting bigger. Some of them are now close to and inch long. The sizes vary considerably still. I am feeding them Potatoes, and Cucumbers. They have not darkened up like their parents yet, but I believe they soon will.

The parents have been a lot more active in the last little while. I keep finding new holes that they have dug. One of the parents can always be found under some old wood, but the other one I have not seen for a long time, but it has to be the one digging the tunnels.

If anyone has suggestions on how to raise these babies, I am all ears. They are not growing as fast as I would expect them to grow, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

If anyone can point me in the direction of a good Care Sheet, that would be great as well.

My parents were set apart tonight as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints. Tomorrow they go into the MTC to prepare, and then they are off to Baltimore, Maryland.

My kids will be sad to see them go, but know that over the next 18 months, they will be serving the Lord and doing what He wants them to be doing. The good thing, is that since they are couple missionaries, the rules are a little less strict, so we will be able to call them more often.

I am so glad that they are going to server a mission. They both served missions before their marriage, but now will be able to do it as a couple. Like my Mom said, "she will not have to learn to Love her companion, she already does."

Best of luck Mom and Dad, we will keep you up on the what is going on with the kids and grand-kids.

Who is Van Jones? In 2005, the East Bay Express published and article about Van Jones. In this article, he states, after being in Jail for rioting during the Rodney King riots.

"I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.'"

He also stated

"I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th. By August, I was a communist."

In 1994, the young activists formed a socialist collective, Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM, which held study groups on the theories of Marx and Lenin and dreamed of a multiracial socialist utopia.

Why is a Revolutionary, Communist and Marxist advising the President of the United States, and making policy?

Opposition in all things...

My wife and I, and my parents went to the Mt. Timpanogos temple last night. It was a good experience. My parents leave for a mission for the LDS church on Monday. They are going to be serving in the Office in the Baltimore Maryland. It was good to be able to go to the Temple one more time with them before they leave. We are heading up to Bountiful on Sunday for their setting apart, and then the kids will probably not see their Grandparents for the next 18 months while they server the Lord.

While I was in the temple, thinking about life and such. There were a couple of scriptures that came to my mind. The first one is 2 Nephi 2:11

For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my first-born in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility.

It then goes on to explain in verse 25 that ".. men are, that they might have joy." If you take both of those scriptures together, you realize that in order for you to have the joy that you were created to have, you will have to experience misery and face opposition as well.

So when is opposition going to be too much, if the Lord requires us to have "opposition in all things" will that opposition ever become greater than we can handle?

When we are doing the Lords work, in D&C 84:88 He states: "..for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up."

Nephi also tells us in 1 Nephi 3:7 that " I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them."

And finally in 1 Corinthians 10:13 it says,

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Bottom line, no matter what the temptation, oppressions, or trial, the Lord is always there to help you through it, and will never give you a burden that you will not be able to bear.

The Color of Change.... Boycott

I want to talk on a topic that has been getting a lot of press. And that is the topic of a boycott that was started by colorofchange.org, after Glenn Beck made a personal statement on the air about President Obama. (Please note, he does have every right under Freedom of Speech to say what he wants to say.) Colorofchange.org then started to pressure the Fox advertisers to not advertise during his time slots. And I am sad to say that many of them have done just that.

Lets take a look at the organization that started the boycott. Lets look at colorofchange.org, and the projects they have supported in the past. First, on their website they say "ColorOfChange.org exists to strengthen Black America's political voice. Our goal is to empower our members—Black Americans and our allies—to make government more responsive to the concerns of Black Americans and to bring about positive political and social change for everyone." POSITIVE POLITICAL and SOCIAL CHANGE.... Now lets look at how well they are doing that, and notice that they also said FOR EVERYONE.

So lets look at the projects they have called their group to action on.

3-5-2009 Demand governors put people above politics.
I agree that people should be more important than politics. But their project was to force governors that DID NOT WANT to take the TARP money to take the money. These governors did not want to take the TARP money because they did not agree with the HEAVY tax that it would cause. The TAX that takes money from some to gives to others. They also did not like the control they had to agree with when taking the money. This in no way is a change for everyone. This entire stimulus package was designed to help a specific group of people, while taking wealth from another group of people. -- Conclusion - colorofchange.org is pro Welfare and Redistribution of wealth.

3-26-2008 Stop Discriminatory Sentencing
In this project, they state that 1 in 9 black men between the ages of 20 and 34 are now behind bars. And they make the connection that it is because the laws treat 5 grams of crack cocaine the same as 500 grams of crack cocaine. Basically they are trying to change the laws so that it is OK to have a small amount of crack cocaine, because the poor can't afford large quantities of it. Remember, we are trying to make positive political change for everyone. -- Conclusion - colorofchange.org is pro drug use and believes that some cocaine use is OK, and you should not be responsible for your actions when you are breaking the law.

1-29-2007 Stop HUD from suing Katrina survivors
This one is one of the best. If you remember, it was well covered in the news. That when people returned to HUD housing, they stated to remove everything that was not physically part of the walls. They removed toilets, sinks, light fixtures and the like. Remember, these people DONT own these units, they are Government Housing. So in response, HUD started to use the legal system to collect monetary damages. Once again, remember, HUD is now trying to get back tax payers money that these people STOLE from the units. colorofchange.org then started a campaign to get HUD to stop prosecuting the thieves. So colorofchange.org now shows that they are saying that it is OK to steal from HUD. Conclusion - colorofchange.org is in favor of stealing from the government, and not being responsible for your actions.

Now for the one that I really wanted to talk about....

Stop the race baiting.
Glenn Beck made a statement (his own opinion) that he believed that Obama is a racist and has a deep-seated hatred for white people. I don't necessarily agree with his statement, but it is his right. So they started an email campaign to get advertisers to pull their advertising dollars. And so far it has worked with a bunch of them moving from Glenn's time slot to other time slots. But none of them have actually moved from FOX.

Here is my problem with this. The boycott mentality makes no sense. Let me explain. Because of a few thousand peoples emails, a company then stops advertising on a show that now has close to 3 MILLION viewers. Does that make any business sense? How smart is it to satisfy several thousand people, and remove your company so that it is no longer visible to 3 MILLION people? No matter what a company does, you will always make someone mad or angry with your product. The goal is to put your product in front of as many people as possible, so that you can sell as much of your product as possible. By bowing to ColorOfChange.org, you are putting your company at risk. Not only are you aligning yourself with them, but you are also removing your product from a 3 MILLION people view.

I think that any company that did pull their advertising has made a mistake. They have aligned themselves in the media with changeofcolor.org and its movement, as well as created a backlash for themselves. There is now also a movement to boycott the companies that are boycotting Glenn Beck. Which his listeners have the right to do just like the companies have the right to pull advertising.

I think both are wrong, because boycotts really don't solve the issue. A better solution to the Glenn Beck statement would be to try to get him to retract it or to apologize. The boycotts by both camps only hurt the employees of each of the companies, by removing revenue from them. People say that the capitalistic society is bad, but don't think it is a bad thing when they are trying to use it to force a special intrest groups change.

To Czar or not to Czar... That is the question.

The tradition of the Cabinet dates back to the beginnings of the Presidency itself. Established in Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution, the Cabinet's role is to advise the President on any subject he may require relating to the duties of each member's respective office.

The Cabinet includes the Vice President and the heads of 15 executive departments — the Secretaries of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs, as well as the Attorney General. Lets look at what the Constitution says about the Cabinet. The United States Constitution, Article II, Section 2 states, in regards to the powers of the President.

"He [The President] shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States, whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law: but the Congress may by law vest the appointment of such inferior officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the courts of law, or in the heads of departments."

So, if the President can add/remove and change members of his Cabinet, why use Czars instead of making it a Cabinet position. I think the main reason is this.... Notice the part were it says "shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate". If you make the person a member of your Cabinet, then it has to be approved by the consent of the Senate. So if you want to give someone power to make policy, and want to bypass the Senate, then you create the position of a Czar. Why would the President do that? Because, when Obama started creating Czar positions, the Senate was not completely under his control like the House of Representatives currently is. There would be a BIG chance that if it become a cabinet member, then the Senate would not approve of his appointment.

So bring on the CZARs.

Don't get me wrong, Czars have been around for a long time, and George W. Bush created several of them. Franklin D. Roosevelt crated a bunch as well. But do we really think we should be giving the President of the United States the power to put someone that is unelected into a place to make policy? By un-elected I mean that there is not a way for a people-elected group to object to a Czar. We are making it possible for one person, the President of the United States, to appoint someone to create policy for us. I don't care who it is that is the current President, appointing a Czar is nothing more than a way to get around the proper channels of appointing men to policy creating positions. [As a side note, once we give this power to a person, and a new President is elected, that president can then appoint whom ever he wants to that position, and no one can object.]

If you don't think that these Czars can create policy, just look at some of the titles and what Offices they are in control of.

Since when did the United States allow for placing of Kings, Emperors, Autocratic Ruler, or un-elected people with Great Authority or Power?

The Battle Lines are drawn... Yet AGAIN.

There is a newspaper in St George Utah called the Spectrum. They recently rejected a wedding announcement. The announcement was of a Gay couple, now living in San Fransisco for a wedding that happened June 17, 2008.

Now that the paper has said no, GLADD is now going to start calling their advertisers and try to have them pull their ads from the news paper. Because they feel that the advertisers should support diversity.

I also think that we should contact their advertisers and tell them that we also believe that they should stick with the Spectrum because they stand for Family Values.

I think a lot of people don't understand why this is such a big deal. This is not about an announcement in the newspaper (one that happened OVER A YEAR AGO), it is about pushing the Gay and Lesbian agenda. It is not about letting people in their home town know that they are married. Anyone who is close to them already knows this. This is an attempt to force their wedding into the homes of all the subscribers of the Spectrum. They want to shock and push their agenda on the Spectrum readers. It is an attempt to take a conservative, traditional marriage friendly, news paper and force it either out of business (because of lack of advertisers), or force the parent company to change the local papers policies.

Do they really care if people see the announcement, or are they trying to force another conservative paper to its knees, and push the minorities agenda?

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, well ok, it is already dead, so what is the problem with beating it some more? I have a big problem with the snitch site, and the request the Obama "Thought Police" have made. The administration keeps telling everyone that they are not collecting names, the emails are just for their ability to respond and tell everyone the truth. Obama stated this several times in the last few days.

The fact is, they are collecting names, and they are required to by law. All email that goes to the White House is archived because of the "Federal Records Act". In a court case "Armstrong v. Executive Office of the President" it was found that Email documents are part of the Federal Records Act, and therefore have to be archived. So if they are not collecting this information, then they are breaking the law.

Many of you may be saying "So what!'. But my guess is that you don't know what an email archive system can do. In most cases, it takes ALL of the email received by the servers and journals it. In other words, it copies all of the emails so they cannot be deleted or modified. Those emails are then added to a huge database, that is easily search able. This then gives them the ability to search by email address, key words in subject or body of message. The system has to have that ability for legal discovery and FRA requests.

I find it funny that the Bush administration came under heavy attack because they did not archive all of their emails. The Democrats were constantly saying that the email archiving that Bush was using was inadequate and did not meet the FRA. But they forget about it when people say they are worried about them keeping lists.

Bottom line. YES, the Obama administration is recording ALL email that it receives because of their Snitch email address. It is LAW, they have to record them. And yes, they do have the ability to search and retrieve the emails at any time. They have to be able to, it is the law. So for them to say they are not collecting this information, is a LIE and the federal government will always have access to it.

REMEMBER, anything sent to the White House has to be archived BY LAW. So don't tell me you are not keeping or storing these emails, they are being archived.

Bubba - Shingles

Doesn't it seem more and more that physicians are running their practices like an assembly line?

Here's what happened to Bubba: Bubba walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what he had.

Bubba said: "Shingles." So she wrote down his name, address, medical insurance number and told him to have a seat.

Fifteen minutes later a nurse's aide came out and asked Bubba what he had Bubba said, "Shingles." So she wrote down his height, weight, a complete medical history and told Bubba to wait in the examining room.

A half hour later a nurse came in and asked Bubba what he had. Bubba said,"Shingles." So the nurse gave Bubba a blood test, a blood pressure test, an electrocardiogram, and told Bubba to take off all his clothes and wait for the doctor.

An hour later the doctor came in and found Bubba sitting patiently in the nude and asked Bubba what he had. Bubba said, "Shingles." The doctor asked,"Where?"Bubba said, "Outside on the truck. Where do you want me to unload 'em??"

I found a site that has some really fishy stuff on it about Health CareReform. I believe that this site is lying to the American Public and should be reported...

Here is a quote directly from the site:

'There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there,spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can't keep track of all of them here at the White House, we're asking for your help. If you get an email or seesomething on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

I don't think this is right. Having the American public turn others in forsharing their ideas and view points. This is WRONG, and should be stopped.

The Health Care Bill

Just a small list of the problems with this bill:

Page 22 - MANDATES the Government will audit books of ALL EMPLOYERS that self insure.

Page 30 Section 123 - There will be a Government COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get.

Page 29 lines 4-16 - Your Health Care is RATIONED..

Page 42 - The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your Health Care Benefits for you. You have no choice.

Page 50 Section 152 - Health Care will be provided to ALL non US citizens, illegal or otherwise.

Page 58 - Government will have real-time access to individual's finances and a National ID Health Card will be issued.

Page 59 lines 21-24 - Government will have direct access to your bank accounts for electrical funds transfers.

Page 65 Section 164 - A payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in Unions & community organizations (ACORN).

Page 72 Lines 8-14 - Government is creating an Health Care Exchange to bring private health care plans under Government control.

Page 84 Section 203 - Government mandates ALL benefit packages for private Health Care plans in the Exchange.

Page 85 Line 7 - Specifications for Benefit Levels for Plans = The Government will ration your Health Care.

Page 91 Lines 4-7 - Government mandates linguistic appropriate services. Example - Translation for illegal aliens

Page 95 Lines 8-18 - The Government will use groups i.e., ACORN & Americorps to sign up individuals for Government Health Care plan.

Page 85 Line 7 - Specs of Ben Levels for Plans. AARP members - Your health care WILL be rationed.

Page 102 Lines 12-18 - Medicaid Eligible individuals will be automatically enrolled in Medicaid. No choice.

Page 124 lines 24-25 - No company can sue Government for price fixing. No "judicial review" against Government Monopoly.

Page 127 Lines 1-16 - Doctors/AMA: The Government will tell you what you can make.

Page 145 Line 15-17 - An Employer MUST automatically enroll employees into public option plan. No Choice.

Page 126 Lines 22-25 - Employers MUST pay for Health Care for part time employees AND their families.

Page 149 Lines 16-24 - ANY Employer with payroll 400k & above who does not provide public option pays 8% tax on all payroll.

Page 150 Lines 9-13 - Business with payroll between $251k and $400k who does not provide public option pays 2-6% tax on all payroll.

Page 167 Lines 18-23 - Any individual who does not have acceptable Health Care according to the Government will be taxed 2.5% of income.

Page 170 Lines 1-3 - Any NONRESIDENT Alien is exempt from individual taxes. (American Citizens will pay).

Page 195 - Officers & employees of Health Care Administration (Government) will have access to ALL American's finance/personal records.

Page 203 Line 14-15 Health Care - "The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax". Yes, it says that.

Page 239 Line 14-24 - Government will reduce physician services for Medicaid. Seniors, low income, and poor will be affected.

Page 241 Line 6-8 - All doctors will be paid the same regardless of their specialty.

Page 253 Line 10-18 - Government sets value of doctors time, professional judgment, etc; literally the value of humans.

Page 265 Section 1131 - Government mandates and controls productivity for private Health Care industries.

Page 268 Section 1141 - Government regulates rental and purchase of power driven wheelchairs.

Page 272 Section. 1145 – Treatment at certain CANCER HOSPITALS; rationing for cancer patients.

Page 280 Section 1151 - The Government will penalize hospitals for what Government deems preventable readmissions.

Page 298 Lines 9-11 Doctors, treat a patient during initial admission that results in a readmission and the Government will penalize you.

Page 317 Lines 13-20 - PROHIBITION on ownership/investment. Government tells Doctors what/how much they can own.

Page 317-318 Lines 21-25,1-3 - PROHIBITION on hospital expansions.

Page 321 2-13 - Hospitals have opportunity to apply for exception BUT community input is required. Approval by ACORN?

Page 335 Lines 16-25; Page 336-339 - Government mandates establishment of outcome based measures. Health Care the way they want it. Rationing.

Page 341 Lines 3-9 Government has authority to disqualify Medicare Advance Plans, HMO s, etc. thus forcing people into Government plan.

Page 354 Section 1177 - Government will RESTRICT enrollment of Special needs people.

Page 379 Section 1191 - Government creates more bureaucracy - Tele-Health Advisory Committee. Health Care by phone?

Page 425 Lines 4-12 - Government mandates Advance Care Planning Consults. Think Senior Citizens end of life.

Page 425 Lines 17-19 - Government will instruct and consult regarding living wills, durable powers of attorney. Mandatory!

Page 425 Lines 22-25, 426 Lines 1-3 - Government provides approved list of end of life resources, guiding you in death.

Page 427 Lines 15-24 - Government mandates program for orders for end of life. The Government has a say in how your life ends.

Page 429 Lines 1-9 - An "Advanced Care Planning Consultant" will be used frequently as patients health deteriorates.

Page 429 Lines 10-12 - "advanced care consultation" may include an ORDER for end of life plans. AN ORDER from Government!

Page 429 Lines 13-25 - The Government will specify which Doctors can write an end of life order.

Page 430 Lines 11-15 - The Government will decide what level of treatment you will have at end of life.

Page 469 - Community Based Home Medical Services = Non profit organizations. ACORN Medical Services?

Page 472 Lines 14-17 – Payment to community-based organizations; 1 monthly payment to a community-based organization like ACORN.

Page 489 Section 1308 - The Government will cover Marriage & Family therapy, which means they will insert Government into your marriage.

My emergency room visit....

The other day, I needed to go to the emergency room.


Not wanting to sit there for 4 hours, I put on my old Army fatigues and stuck a patch on the front of my shirt that I had purchased off the Internet.


When I went into the E.R., 3/4 of the people got up and left.I guess they decided they weren't that sick after all. It cut at least 3 hours off my waiting time.


Here's the patch. Feel free to use it the next time you're in need of quicker emergency service.
